Steve Wasira

Steve Wasira is the Vice President, Business Development at Virunga Power with over 10 years working experience in project development in emerging markets. Steve specializes in energy projects and transactions in emerging markets.

Prior to Virunga Power, Steve served as a Transaction Advisor under Power Africa Initiative. Steve has served as a Business Development Manager at Sithe Global Power LLP, a US based power development company with focus on new business opportunities in emerging markets. At Sithe Global, Steve was responsible for identifying and developing new projects.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a BS degree in Information Management Systems and MS degree in Business Management and Leadership from City University of New York.
